My name is Susan.This is my personal blog aside from my "Sara Says Boutique" site and blog.  I am a stay-at-home mom self employed with my own online retail business.  I am also my husband's secretary.  I should really get a job employed by someone else.  It would be a lot easier on me, but honestly I don't know how I would have time to be a mom and wife properly!  I would have to hire a full staff of people to replace me at home! 
I have traveled the world, as I am a daughter of an Army Colonel retired.  My family took us everywhere.  I lived in 14 different places and traveled to many countries.  My heart will always be in Heidelberg. But I really enjoy living in Alabama.
I like to sew, do crafts, shop, go running, eat, drink and be merry! I like to talk on the phone to my mom, get together with friends, and cheer on the Crimson Tide.
I am a Taurus.

Meet my husband Sam.  He is supportive, witty, creative, constructive, smart, tidy, and thoughtful. Completely amazing. To be real, he is also quick-tempered, agitated at drive-thru windows, and a name-caller!  He also notices EVERYTHING.  If you wear the same outfit twice in a row he will call you out. He loves his family and is generous with us.  He loves to travel.  Growing up, his family didn't go much farther than Alabama. We have been to Europe together and he loves it.  
He is a contractor for his own insurance restoration company. He is a handyman at home and can build or fix just about anything. He can cook, clean, shop, dress his children, and sew on a button.  He knows a little bit about every single thing.
He is a Libra.

Meet my sweet daughter Sara.  She is ten. It took us two years of infertility to conceive our first child.  She weighed 5 lbs, 8 oz. at birth, on time.  We called her Peanut.  You don't know how happy I was when she came into our lives!  She looks a lot like me on the outside, but is so much like her dad on the inside.  (They often get sideways with each other.) She is quiet, creative, witty, clever, sociable, temperamental and beautiful.  She is not a slave to fashion.  She likes to dress comfortably. She loves her little sister.  She has a high IQ and an IEP at school.  She is a night owl. She never wants the party to end - just like me!  She dislikes reading - just like her dad!  She loves anything art, and takes baton class.  When she's not with her friends, she makes crafts in her room listening to music. She also likes to stay by my side too.
She is a Taurus.

Meet my shy daughter Katie.  She is six. She is easy-going, agreeable, beautiful, sensitive and smart. It's miraculous that she even exists, as a result of my past experience with placenta accreta when my first was born.  She was born 7 lbs, 4 oz. on time.  That's quite a difference in birth weight from her big sister!She loves her big sister. She looks a lot like her dad, but is very much like me on the inside.  School comes easy for her.  She enjoys reading and spells with ease.  She goes to bed willingly every night.  The girl knows when she's tired!   She has good fashion sense and loves to dress herself and her dolls.  When she's not playing with dolls she plays with her Matchbox cars.  She likes rolling them along bumpy surfaces!  She takes tumbling class, art class, and baton class. She has rhythm, unlike me, and can really move.  She cries at sad songs or movies.  She is stubborn like me.
